
Andrea Andrade is entering her second year of teaching as an Assistant Band Director at Fossil Ridge High School. She graduated with honors from the University of North Texas in the Spring of 2023 with a Bachelors in Music Education.
During her time at UNT, she was a drum major for the UNT Green Brigade Marching Band for 3 years, where she earned the Spirit of North Texas Award, and played flute for various ensembles/local musical pit orchestras. She also served in leadership roles for the UNT Xi Beta Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi as the Historian for three years and the newly-chartered Women Band Directors International chapter at UNT as the Vice President.

Her drum corps experience includes a year with the Santa Clara Vanguard Drum and Bugle Corps as a Drum Major/Rehearsal Assistant in 2022, where she received the Santa Clara Vanguard Director’s Award, and where currently serves as a Tour Admin Assistant.

She is originally from Rockwall, Texas, but she also grew up in Mexico for most her childhood and is fully bilingual!

In her free time, she enjoys reading, painting, hiking, board games, rock climbing, and spending time with friends and family and her Siamese cat, Melody.
